XYCOM XVME-490 Four-Channel Serial I/O Module (6U VME)

Form Factor:
6U, double-width VME-bus module with all I/O routed through the rear P2 connector.

4 independent serial channels.

Controller Chips:
Two Zilog Z8530 Serial Communication Controllers (SCC), supporting multiple protocols including asynchronous, byte-synchronous, and bit-oriented (HDLC/SDLC).

Interface Type:
RS-232C (optional RS-422A/RS-485 depending on specific model: XVME-490/491).

Baud Rates:

• Asynchronous: up to 57.6 kbaud (internal/external)
• Synchronous: up to 500 kbaud

Modem Control:
Each channel provides RTS, CTS, DCD, and DTR signals.

Interrupts:
Jumper-selectable to generate any of the 7 VME-bus interrupt levels; the two Z8530 chips can generate up to 16 interrupt vectors.
