XYCOM XVME-400 Overview

The XYCOM XVME-400 is a VMEbus serial communication module manufactured by XYCOM Automation, belonging to the XVME-400/401/490/491 series. Its primary features are as follows:

VMEbus Compatibility	Compliant with IEEE 1014 VMEbus standard; uses A16:D08(O) data bus; supports D08(O) (DYN) interrupt vector and seven interrupt levels.
Dimensions	Single-height board, 3.9 in × 6.3 in (99 mm × 160 mm); suitable for 6U/3U VME chassis formats.
Internal Chipset	Equipped with two Zilog Z8530 SCC (Serial Communication Controllers) supporting asynchronous, byte-synchronous, and bit-oriented protocols. Each channel includes an independent baud-rate generator and modem-signal control.
Interrupts	Jumper-selectable interrupt generation across seven VMEbus levels. Each Z8530 supports 8 interrupt vectors, providing a total of 16 vectors.
Environmental Specifications	Operating temperature range: –40 °C to +85 °C; designed for industrial-grade reliability.
