1. Overview

The ABB TVOC-2-240 is a dedicated industrial gas sensing transmitter for continuous total volatile organic compound (TVOC) concentration detection. Different from civilian air sensors, it adopts high-sensitivity industrial gas sensing chip with anti-dust, anti-oil fume filtering structure, which effectively resists workshop oil mist, particulate dust and high humidity interference to avoid measurement drift and false alarms.
The sensor converts real-time TVOC concentration values into standard 4–20mA analog signals, which can be transmitted to DCS, PLC and local alarm controllers. It supports linkage control of workshop exhaust fans and fresh air ventilation equipment, automatically triggering alarms when VOC concentration exceeds safety thresholds to prevent flammable and toxic gas safety accidents. With wide working temperature range and IP54 protective shell, it runs stably year-round in printing, paint spraying, fine chemical and pharmaceutical production workshops to meet factory environmental protection emission supervision and occupational safety monitoring requirements.

 4. Structure and Composition

The TVOC-2-240 air quality sensor adopts an integrated wall-mounted structure, composed of high-sensitivity VOC sensing chip, multi-stage dust/oil filter assembly, signal amplification conditioning circuit and IP54 plastic protective housing.
External air enters the sensing cavity after multi-layer filtering to remove particulate pollutants, guaranteeing long-term stable sensing performance. The internal circuit has power anti-surge protection to avoid sensor burnout caused by workshop power fluctuation. Standard terminal wiring design simplifies field construction and maintenance replacement operations.
