1. Overview

The ABB LT2005-S/SP19 belongs to ABB LT series guided wave radar level measurement instruments, adopting time-domain reflectometry (TDR) radar principle for contact-type continuous liquid level detection. It eliminates measurement errors caused by foam, steam, uneven liquid surface and medium dielectric changes that trouble non-contact radar sensors. The unit supports a broad measuring range and works with water, oil, chemical solvents and weakly corrosive liquids. Equipped with standard 4–20mA two-wire loop power plus HART digital communication, it seamlessly connects to AC800M DCS, PLC and SCADA monitoring platforms for real-time liquid level tracking, high/low level interlock and tank inventory statistics. With IP66/67 full sealed housing and optional 316L stainless steel probe, it withstands dust, water splash and mild chemical vapor, stable for 24/7 round-the-clock industrial operation within -20℃ to +70℃ working temperature range.
